Hay Bales and Mailboxes Don't Mix

Oh what an eventful week we have had. Tuesday morning, as I was coming toward the end of the driveway I saw a bunch of dried cut grass. I thought that was a little weird. As I pulled to the end of the driveway, I looked to my left and saw some more dried cut grass. Then I looked to my right towards our mailbox and this is what I* saw.

Yep, you guessed it. Someone tried to put a bale of hay in our mailbox. While I would like to think that the person was just trying to be generous, they really did cause us more work than the nice thought that they were trying to do. I mean, we don't have the need for any hay. Our only animal is a 15 lb fat cat who probably could care less about hay.

Luckily for us the mailbox was not hurt and can still serve its purpose. The mailbox post, however, came to a very horrific and untimeley death. Poor little wooden post and poor Kevin who will have to get out and put up a new mailbox post in freeezing weather.

So if you are needing hay, I can tell you where you can get some for free.

*I did not take this picture. My husband did.
