This past summer before we went camping I wanted to get a cover up to wear while walking to the water and back. So I went to the Wally World and paid my $10 for a cute cover up. Being the very practical person that I am, I thought that it could serve the purpose of wearing it after I get out of the shower. It was the BEST thing ever. I usually wear it while I am getting ready.
Abby has been begging for one for a while now and to be honest, I didn't really look at getting her one. Her persisent begging for a bath wrap paid off and mommy told her that I would attempt to make one and see how it turned out. So the day after Thanksgiving, Wally World had their true colors bath towels on sale for $2 each. You know, the pretty nice ones in a lot of colors. I got 5 of them, orange, green, purple, light pink, and dark pink. The pink ones are for the girls for Chirstmas, the purple for my niece, and the other two are for Abby's little friends.
The middle one is Audrey's.
The first one I made took about two hours. The last one which was Audrey's that I had to make two hems on took about 30 minutes. They turned out so cute and I can't wait for Abby to see hers. She is going to be so surprised because she only knew that I was making the other three, not one for her a sister too.
Anyway, here is the final product. Tell me what you think about them. Would you buy them if I were to sell them and how much would you pay? I am kind of toying with the idea of opening an online craft store for my hairbows and other things like tutus.
This a picture of Audrey's bath cover up.

Cute!! I can't wait to see your other craft projects! We must get together after Christmas for some scrapbooking fun!!
ReplyDeleteOK, I just found your blog and love this idea, it would be really cute if your embroidred the name on it and it works well on towels, just an idea if you know someone who is close who has an embroidrey machine
ReplyDeleteThanks Jill for the comment. I had thought about embroidering the name and had a friend that had an embroidery machine. She just sold it a few months ago because she never really used it. If I had the money, I would have bought it from her but they are so expensive.
ReplyDeletevery cute idea!
