The last week we had a few losses but made some big gains. We lost both our okra plants, a cucumber, and a tomato plant. The cucmber and tomato plants were stepped on by a little platinum blode who shall remain nameless.
We got plants to replaced the ones that went to plant heaven and picked up two strawberry plants, just for the simple fact that they were pretty.
Here is the big gains that our little garden has made this week. We have green beans! Well at least we have a row of plants but it is something right? I was shocked at how fast these came up. We have 23 groups of plants. Each group has at least 1 plant but most of them have 2. The girls were so excited to see the little bit of green poking through the ground. They were so excited and started jumping up and down.
So this post was supposed to be all happy and exciting about our green bean plants and our new veggies that we bought, but my gardening friends, we have a problem.
Meet Devil Rabbit, more affectionally named Mr. Cotton Tail He is very fond of our garden too. A little too fond since we have found some leaves that have been nibbled on.
So my dear gardening friends, what would you suggest to keep Devil Rabbit, ahem, Mr. Cotton Tail out of my garden? Any plant suggestions that are a natural deterrant?

Ack! Not the green beans!!! They say blood meat will deter them, don't know being vegan and all I shy away from it, but give it a try. There is also getting a dog...or maybe a camel will help. Never mind camels LOVE green beans, lol!
ReplyDeleteSeems we've both been having critter issues, me mice, you rabbit...are we going to be outsmarted by these little furry creatures? Only time will tell! Kim
