Anyway, I digress. Back to why I hesitated.
You see, when they offered to pay me for the cake, that is the reason why I hesitatied. If I mess up my own kids cakes, that is fine because it is my own kids. If I mess up my friend's kids cakes, then that is a little less acceptable, but they really don't care what the cake looks like, they just want to eat it.
This cake, this one was different.
You see to me, first baby shower cakes are kind of like your wedding cake. It is the first one you are going to have. If you are lucky to have another baby shower, you might get another cake, but more than likely you will only get one baby shower.
So that is why I hesitated.
Not because I didn't think I could do it, but because I was scard of messing it up. I have learned that 90% of my cake making is mental. I have to really think about it before I decide to make a cake for someone else. I have to say that this one was really fun and turned out pretty cute. Now just as a disclaimer I am not a professional, nor have I had any kind of formal training. Yet. I am just a mom who likes to mamke her kid's birthday cakes who happened to be asked to make some for other people. Now without further wait, I present you the BEST BABY SHOWER CAKE EVER! (Or to date at least.)

WOW! You are so talented. I love the cake. Make me one, I'm super jealous. Although cake is my worst enemy. I love it, but hate what it does to my girlish figure. :)
