Abby had her open house on August 12
th. She got to see her classroom and meet her teacher and the assistant teacher. She was so excited to see the inside of the big school that has the awesome playground her daycare takes her to play at during the summer.
Her teachers had a border on the wall outside of the class with
each kids name on it. She was really happy when she found her name and pointed it out to me. The even had a cute little red bench right outside the door. It probably is the bench that the kids get to sit on when they are in trouble and have to wait to see the principal. Hopefully her little bottom will never be on that bench for that purpose.

Her teacher Mrs. Tyler on the left and her teacher's assistant Mrs.
Dismuke is on the right. Mrs.
Dismuke's daughter was in Abby's gymnastics class this past spring so we are really excited that she is one of Abby's teachers this year.

The
school is equipped with child size water fountains that Abby was so excited to see. She could actually reach the water without having any help. Her classroom even has their own bathroom with child size toilets and sinks.

After we attended her open house, we went and got her hair cut by a friend that I went to high school with. Abby has been talking about getting her hair cut up to her ears for several months now. I had been pretty hesitant to cut it that short, so I compromised and she got a very cute little bob. It looks so good on her and she really likes it.
Oh, what a big girl. Our church is opening a preschool this year and I am more than thrilled to see what God is going to do with it.
ReplyDeleteHow exciting for you all.
