Did You Miss Me?

First off I would like to apologize for my month long hiatus from my blog. We have been enjoying our time this summer by spending it outside. A LOT! Quite frankly, I have missed my bloggy friends and will attempt to get you more updates.

So here is what we have been up to in the last month or so.

*May 4th, Kevin and I celebrated our 8th anniversary. The following weekend we went to eat dinner at a Japanese Steakhouse. Those chefs are amazing. It was a little odd that our chef was a caucasion guy but he was a pretty good chef. Then we spent the night in a wonderful bed and breakfast and enjoyed being able to sleep in.

*Abby and Kevin went to the Daddy/Daughter dance for the second year. I spent some time making her a obnoxiously large green flower clip and matching flip flops.

*The end of May we had the one year anniversary of my granny making her way into the pearly gates of Heaven. She was the rock in our family and is missed by all of us. Love you lady more than you will ever know.

*We went camping 3 weekends in a row. Makes for a very tired mommy but the kids had a lot of fun. My girls are little swimmers and like to be in deep water. Of course they had their life jackets on!

*Our garden is rapidly growing. The girls are enjoying picking veggies from it and eating them for dinner. This has been such a great project for them to learn where food comes from. I am so thankful to Kim at The Inadvertant Farmer for hosting KinderGardens. This has been a whole lot of fun for not just the kids, but Kevin and I.

*I created a dragon for a very special little guy.

*We went on our annual family camping trip and the dads and kids caught about 60 sand bass. Audrey didn't quite know what to think about the fish but after much coaxing from her older cousin, Abby decided that holding one that "wasn't blooding" wasn't too bad.

*We are headed up to see Kevin's brother and his family for the weekend. I imagine we will be swimming a lot, eating too much, and having loads of fun!
